The Barons scored three power-play goals in a 6-4 win over Charlotte Sunday afternoon at the Cox Convention Center.

Oklahoma City has scored at least one power play goal in seven consecutive games. The past month, the Barons’ power play has scored at a sizzling 28.1 percent clip.

“Our power play has been clicking pretty good, which is what we’ll need,” said Barons coach Todd Nelson. “With the team we have right now, when it’s five-on-five, we’ll have to throw a lot of volume of shots on net to generate goals.”

Sidelined six games with an undisclosed injury, Roman Horak, returned for a pivotal weekend series with Charlotte. In Sunday’s win he scored three points, including his 21st goal.

“It’s always tough when you have to sit and watch games,” Horak said. “With some guys up in Edmonton and guys like Arco (Mark Arcobello) injured I felt I needed to get out there.

“(The injury) is better, but as a player who knows, there’s still something a little different. I’m dealing with it and trying to help the team as much as I can.”

Defenseman Brad Hunt notched an assist in Sunday’s game to break Justin Schultz’s franchise record for points by a blue-liner. Hunt has 49 points. He also 38 assists, another franchise record.
