Scouting report: Coming off a 4-1 win over the Houston Aeros, the Barons have moved into a three-way tie for fifth, sixth and seventh in the Western Conference with Houston and the Rochester Americans. With each team having six games left in the regular season, and each having a game in hand on Houston, the winner of Friday's game will be in fifth place and solidify their playoff chances in a tightly packed race. ... Rochester won the only previous meeting 3-2 in a shootout four weeks ago in Oklahoma City. ... Since returning from Edmonton, Barons goalie Yann Danis is 7-2-1 with a 1.97 goals-against average and .922 save percentage. Danis has won his last six starts. ... Rochester is led by Mark Mancari, who has 59 points, including 21 goals. Mancari had two assists in the win over the Barons. ... Rochester goalie David Leggio is 36-22-1 with a 2.56 goals-against average.
