OKC Barons: Utica Comets visit Barons for the first time

Promotions: If the Barons win every fan in attendance receives a free ticket to the Jan. 30 game versus Toronto.

Tickets: Prices range between $10 and $40. Tickets can be purchased at the Cox Center box office or by calling 232-4625.

Scouting report: This game originally was scheduled Wednesday but pushed back due to East Coast weather issues. ... Last offseason, the Vancouver Canucks moved their Triple-A affiliate from Peoria to Utica, N.Y., a city that returns to the AHL for the first time in 20 years. ... The Comets own the worst record in the 30-team AHL (11-18-1). ... Utica ranks near the bottom offensively, but AHL veteran forward Pascal Pelletier has 28 points in 28 games. Pelletier has played in nearly 400 AHL games. ... The Comets top goalie is Joacim Eriksson, a 23-year-old rookie from Sweden (8-11-1). ... Barons captain Anton Lander (17 points in 19 games) has returned to OKC and scored the game-winner last Saturday to help the Barons post back-to-back wins for the first time in nearly three months.
