UPDATE: We are still meeting, but Kelly Fry cannot be there, after all. Digital Managing Editor Alan Herzberger will appear in her place today. And I will be there along with him.
Last week’s OKC Central Live Chat was a marathon session, going almost three hours before I finally had to call it quits with still at least a dozen questions and comments that didn’t get posted. I will not be going three hours today. Due to other obligations, today’s chat will last an hour, with an absolute cut-off at 11:45 a.m. So you know the drill – you can start posting comments and questions at 10 a.m. at NewsOK, the chat starts at 10:30 a.m.
Another chat will take place at 1:30 p.m. Originally, this chat was to be limited between myself and Oklahoman executive editor Kelly Fry at Elemental Coffee Shop, NW 8 and Hudson (Beatnix, my regular spot, closes early today). I will still be sharing my ideas on how The Oklahoman can better interact with readers and the community once we move downtown in January. But after some conversations via Twitter, we’re inviting readers, especially Millennials, to feel free to join us, give us their own thoughts about how The Oklahoman can better connect to its readers.
I really encourage folks to give this opportunity some serious consideration. Elemental has some pretty long tables.
