As we approach the start of the inaugural Oklahoma City Craft Beer Week, I thought this would be a great time to preview the week’s festivities on a day-by-day basis.

We’ll start now with Day 1, Sunday, May 11.

On tap:

Homebrew class at The Brew Shop, 3624 N Pennsylvania Ave.

The free class is set for 1 p.m. Sunday and will feature brewing lessons for extract and all-grain beer. Shop owner Gail White said the extract kit, or mini mash, will be a Belgian caramel wit, and all-grain will be a barley wine.

Ever thought about getting started in homebrewing? Here’s a great opportunity to see what it’s all about and figure out what you need to do it.
