Authorities say charges will be upgraded against an Oklahoma City man accused of beating his 91-year-old father with a cane.
Oklahoma City police say 61-year-old Donald Meyer had been jailed on a complaint of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Meyer was accused in an attack Thursday on his father, Theodore Meyer.
Oklahoma City police Sgt. Gary Knight said Monday that Theodore Meyer died from his injuries Saturday at OU Medical Center. Knight says charges will be upgraded to first-degree murder against Donald Meyer, who remains in the Oklahoma County jail.
Court records do not list an attorney for Donald Meyer.
