I would like to thank the good people of Oklahoma City for a wonderful marathon experience. I was invited to run in the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon because I was unable to finish the Boston Marathon because of the explosions at the finish line. The memorial marathon proved to be the closure I needed to put the Boston experience behind me. I did have some stomach cramps during the run and ended up in the medical tent. The personnel there were extremely friendly and helpful. We found this attitude to be prevalent among all of the volunteers we encountered. Thanks again and remember, “together we stand.”
