Jose Martinez's three-run home run was the big blow in a six-run third inning as the Oklahoma City RedHawks defeated Colorado Springs 6-3 on Tuesday night in front of 3,664 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
By winning the final game of the homestand, the RedHawks extended their club-record winning streak to 12 games.
AT THE PLATE
Martinez had three hits on the night. Brandon Laird added a two-run double in the third inning for OKC.
Reid Brignac had a solo homer for the Sky Sox.
ON THE MOUND
RedHawks starter Paul Clemens (2-0) worked five scoreless innings for the win. He allowed two hits.
Kevin Chapman closed it out for his second save of the season.
The RedHawks are off Wednesday. They start an eight-game road trip Thursday at Las Vegas.
