OKC RedHawks fall to Round Rock Express in series finale

— Round Rock left-handed pitcher Zach Jackson stifled the RedHawks' offense for seven innings Tuesday night to lift the Express to a 4-1 victory and series split at The Dell Diamond.

Jackson allowed just one run over seven innings, keeping Oklahoma City's offense in check for the second straight game. The RedHawks were just 1 for 8 with runners in scoring position.

Round Rock's Joey Butler hit a tiebreaking solo home run in the sixth, and Leonys Martin added a two-run shot in the seventh.

Oklahoma City (68-62) threatened in the ninth, bringing the tying run to the plate, before Marc Krauss struck out to end the game.

RedHawks pitcher Rudy Owens (0-3) allowed two runs over six innings.

Round Rock (61-70) took a 1-0 lead in the fourth, but Oklahoma City tied the game in the fifth when Angel Sanchez drove in Matt Dominguez with a single that extended his hitting streak to 10 games.

Oklahoma City continues its road trip Wednesday against the Iowa Cubs at 7:05 p.m.
