OKC RedHawks' Jarred Cosart, Jason Stoffel named to PCL All-Star team

Oklahoma City RedHawks pitchers Jarred Cosart and Jason Stoffel were named Pacific Coast League All-Stars and will participate in the 2013 Triple-A All-Star Game on July 17 in Reno, Nev.

Cosart, a starting pitcher from League City, Tex., was one of 13 players elected to the squad by the balloting of club field managers and general managers, members of the media, and online fan voting. He ranks third in the PCL with a 2.98 ERA and second with a .205 opponent batting average. Cosart leads the RedHawks with seven wins, 87.2 innings, and 90 strikeouts.

Stoffel, a relief pitcher from Agoura, Calif., was one of 17 players on the roster selected by the PCL office. He has a 1.89 ERA this season in 23 relief appearances. He has struck out 27 hitters in 33.1 innings pitched and allowed just seven earned runs.

The Triple-A All-Star Game will be broadcast live on MLB Network at 8:05 p.m. central time.
