SHORT HOPS ...

The RedHawks' four triples in Monday's win were the most in nine years. On June 22, 2004, the RedHawks had four triples in a 24-4 win, which set the single-game franchise record for runs (24) and hits (31). ... Villar's stolen base was OKC's “only” steal after they swiped 14 bases the previous three games. The RedHawks lead the PCL with 35 steals. ... Jimmy Paredes doubled in the sixth to extend his hitting streak to seven games. Paredes is hitting .358. ... Cosart's outing continued a feast-or-famine pitching trend. OKC pitchers have allowed three runs or less in 12 games but have allowed seven or more runs in the other 13 games. ... Josh Zeid gave up a solo homer in the ninth but recorded his second save.
