The Oklahoma City RedHawks erupted for four runs in three separate innings in a 12-8 win over Round Rock at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Wednesday night.
OKC (53-53) scored four runs in the third, fifth and eighth innings to reach .500 for the season.
Gregorio Petit hit a three-run home run in the third, and Matt Duffy added a two-run shot in the fifth for OKC. Petit and Duffy each drove in four runs on the night.
RedHawks reliever Jorge De Leon (3-2) worked 21/3 innings to pick up the win. He allowed three hits and a run. Jason Stoffel struck out four in two innings to earn his ninth save.
Former RedHawk Michael Kirkman (3-5) took the loss for Round Rock, allowing six hits and five runs in 21/3 innings of relief.
The RedHawks will try to salvage a split of the four-game series at 7:05 p.m. Thursday. Right-hander Alex White (1-3, 8.06 ERA) is scheduled to take the mound for OKC, opposed by Express right-hander Justin Germano (3-10, 4.53).
