ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — With two outs in the ninth inning, the RedHawks rallied to score four runs and defeat Albuquerque 4-1 at Isotopes Park on Wednesday night.
AT THE PLATE
In the ninth, Brett Wallace and Jimmy Paredes had back-to-back doubles to tie the game at 1, before Isotopes closer Josh Wall issued two walks to load the bases for pinch-hitter Justin Ruggiano. The Isotopes brought in pitcher Ryan Tucker, but Ruggiano doubled off the center-field wall to clear the bases.
ON THE MOUND
Oklahoma City's Aneury Rodriguez pitched a season-high seven innings, allowing just one earned run and striking out seven. RedHawks reliever Adalberto Flores (1-0) got the victory after throwing a scoreless eighth inning.
The RedHawks will wrap up their four-game series in Albuquerque at 7:35 p.m. Thursday. Oklahoma City RHP Paul Clemens (2-1, 2.05 ERA) is scheduled to start against Albuquerque RHP Will Savage (4-0, 2.55).
