Oklahoma City brought out its big lumber Monday night and whipped Colorado Springs 6-2 in Pacific Coast League baseball at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

A crowd of 3,936 endured 63-degree weather and saw Gregorio Petit, Domingo Santana and Jon Singleton each hit solo home runs. Singleton’s homer was his 12th, tying him with Adam Duvall of Fresno for the PCL lead.

Petit added a double and two RBIs.

Oklahoma City starter Brett Oberholtzer pitched an excellent game. He blanked the Sky Sox on five hits and one walk in seven innings. He struck out nine while winning his first game of the season. Colorado Springs scored its runs in the top of the ninth off reliever Rhiner Cruz.

The RedHawks (21-18) and Sky Sox (18-19) close the series with an 11:05 a.m. game Tuesday at the Brick.
