OKC RedHawks: Round Rock strikes early, never trails in win over OKC

Round Rock never trailed Wednesday night and beat Oklahoma City 5-2 in Pacific Coast League baseball before a crowd of 3,476 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Jared Hoying and former RedHawk Brad Snyder accounted for two RBIs each as Round Rock (14-12) won its first game in series. Hoying, Jordan Brown, Bryan Petersen and Adam Rosales had two hits apiece for the visitor, which led 2-0 after half an inning and 4-1 after 21/2 innings.

Round Rock starter Ryan Feierabend pitched a solid game. He limited the RedHawks to a run on five hits and two walks. He struck out three before leaving in seventh inning.

Robbie Grossman had two hits for Oklahoma City (15-12).

The four-game series and eight-game homestand ends with a game at 7:05 p.m. Thursday. Oklahoma City then begins a four-game road trip at defending national Triple-A champion Omaha on Friday.
