Kyle Parker’s two-out double in the top of the eighth inning was a difference Sunday in Colorado Springs’ 3-2 Pacific Coast League baseball victory over Oklahoma City on Sunday afternoon before 4,599 fans at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Colorado Springs (18-18) also had sold pitching from starter Tyler Matzek and relievers Rob Scahill and Brooks Brown, who notched his third save of the season.

Oklahoma City (20-18) was one out away from getting out of the eighth inning, but Jason Pridie reached base on an error by RedHawks third baseman Jonathan Meyer. Pridie stole second base and scored a walk later on Parker’s double to give the Sky Sox a 3-1 lead.

The RedHawks countered with a run in the bottom of the eighth inning on Jon Singleton’s double, but that’s all OKC mustered the rest of the game. Scahill and Brown combined to retire the next five batters for the win.

The Hawks, who led 1-0 for two innings on Robbie Grossman’s homer, and the Sox continue the four-game series at 7:05 p.m. Monday at the Brick.
