OKC RedHawks top Albuquerque

— The Oklahoma City RedHawks got a solid pitching effort to beat the Albuquerque Isotopes 3-1 on Saturday night at Isotopes Park.

RedHawks starter Jarred Cosart (2-0) went five innings, allowing three hits and a run with six strikeouts. Relievers Wes Musick and Jose Valdez combined to allow just one hit over the final four innings, with Valdez picking up his fourth save.

OKC put two runs on the board in the fourth inning. Mark Krauss tripled to drive in Trevor Crowe and give the RedHawks a 1-0 lead. Jimmy Paredes' sacrifice fly plated Krauss.

The series continues at 2:35 p.m. Sunday. Ross Seaton (0-1, 9.00 ERA) gets the start for the RedHawks. Stephen Fife (1-1, 4.61) takes the mound for the Isotopes.
