The Oklahoma City Thunder didn't win the championship, but players, coaches and other team personnel walked away from the 2011-12 season with a nice consolation prize.

For its playoff run, the Thunder earned almost $2.6 million from the league's $13 million playoff pool. The Thunder got slightly more than $1.5 million for being the losing team in the NBA Finals.

The annual playoff pool bonus goes to players and coaches, but teams can divvy up the money however they want. Trainers and other team personnel generally get a piece of the pie as well.

The Thunder received $381,482 for participating in the conference finals, $230,853 for participating in the semifinals and $194,016 just for making the playoffs. Oklahoma City also earned $263,695 for finishing with the second best regular-season record in the conference.

Miami received $3.37 million from the playoff pool for its championship-winning season.
