“This will be seen where the others will not,” Tillman said, flashing her long nails polished a bright Thunder blue.
Next to Tillman was Melani Hensley, 30, of Oklahoma City, also waiting for her free tattoo. She said she's been saving up for two tattoos — a Thunder tattoo and an OU tattoo. When she checked her Facebook account Friday morning, she said she saw a posting about the free Thunder tattoos, and it made her day.
So she threw on a Thunder T-shirt featuring Russell Westbrook, and she headed to the shop.
“Most of my tattoos have a memory,” she said.
She has memorial tattoos for two of her grandparents and said a Thunder tattoo also will carry sentimentality for her.
“This tattoo's going to be really important to me. It's a huge way to represent who I am, where I come from,” she said.
