Thunder free agent guard Royal Ivey has signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, a team he played for earlier in his eight-year NBA career.

Sixers coach Doug Collins addressed the media Tuesday night and expressed excitement about the makeup of his team, which advanced to the second round of the playoffs last season.

"The beauty of every day in practice is that we think we've got opening day of training camp," Collins told the Philadelphia Daily News. "We have Jrue (Holiday) going against Royal Ivey every day. We think Royal is going to really make Jrue work every single day."

The 30-year-old Ivey, who played 97 games for the Sixers from 2008-10, averaged 2.1 points and 10.4 minutes per game in 34 appearances last year for the Thunder.

A product of Texas, Ivey signed as a free agent with OKC two years ago this week.

The Thunder's two other unrestricted free agents from last season — guard Derek Fisher and center Nazr Mohammed — remain unsigned as of Wednesday night.
