"The guy has un-guardable shots, and the special ones are like that," Brooks said. "You want to force him to take some tough ones (and) that he becomes a volume shooter to get his points.

"Everybody has to help. You can't give him angles and gaps and holes in the defense because he will attack it. He's strong, he's athletic and he can jump over the defender. He has a great shot and he can drive either way. He's a one-in-a-generation type of player."

Bryant wound up scoring 24 points on 24 shots as OKC posted a 100-85 victory over the Lakers before another sellout crowd of 18,203 at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Bryant, who shot just 7 for 24 from the field, had 10 points in the first quarter, went scoreless in the second period and had 14 second-half points. He came in as the league's leading scorer at 28.5 points.

Bryant drew several fouls with his patented pump-fakes and finished 10 for 11 from the free-throw line.

Thunder All-Star Kevin Durant, the league's second-leading scorer with a 27.7-point average, finished with 33 points and shot 12 for 22 from the floor. He also had six assists and three steals
