OKC Thunder: James Harden still being evaluated, status vs. Sacramento uncertain

Thunder guard James Harden continues to be evaluated for the concussion he suffered when elbowed Sunday by Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace.

Harden's status for tonight's home game against the Sacramento Kings remains uncertain.

"(He's) just going through the league mandated process," OKC coach Scott Brooks said after Tuesday morning's shootaround. "We have really no update. We'll know a little bit more later on."

Asked if Harden would be available to play against the Kings, Brooks said: "At this moment, no."

Brooks said Harden "did a few things, but not everything" during the Thunder's 40-minute session at its practice facility. "There (are) steps that we have to take," Brooks said. "We just have to continue on the process of doing all those steps and then go from there."

Teammate Kevin Durant said Harden "seems fine to me. I'm happy everything's OK with him, nothing too serious, I guess. He's just taking it a day at a time. We care more about James than him being on the court playing basketball for us."

OKC closes out the regular season Wednesday night at home against Denver.
