Lamb is a product of Connecticut, where former Thunder guard Kevin Ollie served as an assistant and recently replaced Jim Calhoun as head coach.

“Kevin had wonderful things to say about this young man (Lamb), coached him, stayed in contact with him, and Kevin understands our environment,” Presti said. “Kevin understands what it is we're trying to establish and we believe Jeremy will excel.”

Lamb's potential playing time this season is unknown and Presti said not to expect immediate results.

“Jeremy is a prospect in our eyes at only 20 years old who has a chance to be very good in this league,” Presti said. “He'll be a work in progress. We've been down this path before.”
