OKC Thunder: Kendrick Perkins out for Friday night, Kevin Durant questionable

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER — Thunder center Kendrick Perkins banged knees with a Houston player Wednesday night and will miss Friday night's game vs. Golden State.

Ivey supplied a defensive lift during the Thunder's slow start during a loss at Houston.

"Last game, I thought his defense was on-point every time downcourt, and that's what Royal gives us," Brooks said. "He gives us that every day in practice, the spirit to compete every possession. We didn't win the game, but those first five minutes he had in the first half changed the whole game around.

"Cole will get an opportunity tonight. He's been working hard. Unfortunately for him, he hasn't got a lot of minutes. The minutes he does get, he plays well."
