Derrick Rose scored a game-high 26 points to lead Chicago to a 104-95 win over the Thunder on Wednesday night in the preseason finale for Oklahoma City.
Rose poured in 13 points in the fourth quarter and added four rebounds and six assists while playing a preseason-high 35 minutes, including the final 7 1/2.
The Thunder finished the exhibition season with a 4-3 record, losing the final two.
OKC will open the season Wednesday at Utah.
Jeremy Lamb had his best performance this preseason, scoring 22 points, making nine of 16 shots in 38 minutes. Kevin Durant added 22 points, Reggie Jackson scored 14 with six assists, and rookie center Steven Adams finished an impressive preseason with 11 points and seven rebounds.
The Thunder trailed 51-40 at halftime after shooting 37.5 percent but battled back in the second half, outscoring Chicago 31-23 in the third quarter to pull within three going into the final period.
The Thunder took an 84-78 lead with 7:18 remaining, but with the Thunder’s main players sitting the Bulls starters, led by Rose, pounced on OKC’s younger players.
JALEN ROSE: DURANT TO HOUSTON IN 2016?
Former NBA player and current ESPN analyst Jalen Rose said this week that he thinks Kevin Durant will join the Houston Rockets when his contract ends in 2016.
“I think that after he plays out the couple years on his contract that he goes to Houston to play with Dwight Howard and James Harden,” Rose told ESPN co-worker Bill Simmons on the website Grantland.com's YouTube channel.
Rose then said he thinks Russell Westbrook will leave Oklahoma City a year later.
“I think the second part of that is when Russell Westbrook has the opportunity he's going to leave OKC and go with Kevin Love to the Los Angeles Lakers.”
