“It's a concern,” said Brooks. “We were turning the ball over early a lot. As a coach you never get comfortable and say, ‘OK, we can relax now. We don't have to talk about taking care of the basketball and making simple plays.' It's something that we always focus on.”

The Thunder finished with 16 turnovers Saturday, leading to 22 Rockets points.

For the second straight night, Ibaka recorded two assists, tying his career high. On Friday, Ibaka showed off a nice touch, delivering passes to Perkins with precision, including a high-low feed and a drive and dish.

Ibaka smiled with pride when the topic came up, and Perkins said the best is yet to come.

“We been working on it,” said Perkins. “We (going) to get better. Give me and Serge about another two weeks. Watch, we're gonna be the best big man combo in the league.”

Houston guards Kyle Lowry and Courtney Lee did not play Saturday…Thunder guard Daequan Cook played his first full game without goggles. Cook wore the protective eyewear in the past two games to prevent dizziness and headaches…Perkins, who starred at nearby Clifton J. Ozen High in Beaumont, Texas, needed approximately 70 tickets for friends and family…Prior to Saturday's game, the Rockets had not relinquished a lead at home…The Thunder has now won four straight games over Houston.

Thunder coach Brooks on his team getting satisfied — “That was definitely a thought going into the season that that might be the case. But they haven't shown me any signs of being overconfident. They know that every season is a different season and you have to start from scratch.”

The Thunder will play San Antonio on Sunday night inside Chesapeake Energy Arena. It will be the first of three meetings between the two teams. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
