OKC Thunder notebook: Rookie Reggie Jackson shipped to Tulsa 66ers

By John Rohde, Staff Writer, Published: March 24, 2012

The Thunder assigned rookie guard Reggie Jackson to the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League, and he was in uniform for Saturday night's game against the Iowa Energy at the Tulsa Convention Center.

During the 2011-12 season, the former Boston College guard has appeared in 41 games with the Thunder with averages of 3.4 points, 1.7 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 11.8 minutes per game.

There's a good chance Jackson will rejoin the Thunder for Sunday's 7 p.m. game against the Miami Heat at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

With Kevin Durant (27.9), LeBron James (27.0), Russell Westbrook (24.3) and Dwyane Wade (22.9), four of the league's top scorers will meet Sunday at The Peake.

Also competing will be the NBA's top shot-blocker in Serge Ibaka (3.33) and top 3-point shooter in Mike Miller (.493). Mario Chalmers is 13th (.421) in 3-point shooting. James is No. 4 in steals (1.98) and No. 13 in assists (6.7).

Recapping some records set in the Thunder's 149-140 double-overtime victory over Minnesota on Friday night, compliments of the Elias Sports Bureau:

*Kevin Love of the Timberwolves had 51 points and 14 rebounds, and in the last 21 seasons, only three other players have recorded at least 50 points and 14 rebounds in a losing effort: Sacramento's Chris Webber (51 points and 26 rebounds on Jan. 5, 2001), Golden State's Antawn Jamison (51 points and 14 rebounds on Dec. 3, 2000) and Houston's Hakeem Olajuwon (51 points and 14 rebounds on Jan. 18, 1996).

*Westbrook (a career-high 45 points) and Durant (40) scored 40-plus in the same game for the second time this season, previously doing it Feb. 19 against Denver when Durant scored 51 and Westbrook 40. They are the first pair of teammates to each score 40-plus points in the same game twice in a career, let alone the same season.
