OKC Thunder notebook: Russell Westbrook watches game from Thunder bench

Westbrook strolled through the Thunder locker room without crutches or any sign of a limp.

Before the game, Russell Westbrook was seen strolling around the Thunder locker room, without crutches or any sign of a limp.

Then during the game, for the first time since his surgery, Westbrook watched the game from the Oklahoma City bench.

A positive sign for the All-Star guard who had his knee scoped less than a week before.

When asked pregame if he was worried about Westbrook's three right knee surgeries in eight months, coach Scott Brooks said: “No, not at all.”

PERRY JONES GETS BIG FOURTH QUARTER MINUTES

 Brooks has done plenty of lineup maneuvering throughout this season, tinkering his rotation game-to-game depending on opponent and feel.

On Thursday night, that meant an extended opportunity for the versatile but sporadically used Perry Jones, who played a season-high 30 minutes against a Nets team that went small.

Jones played well for most of the night, scoring 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including 3-of-5 on threes, but struggled to defend Paul Pierce late.
