OKC Thunder: OKC continues trend of frantic fourth-quarter comebacks

Atlanta led for a majority of the night, up by as much as 14 points in the middle of the third quarter. But a big OKC comeback, including a 32-22 fourth quarter, was capped by a Kevin Durant game-winner.

OKC could have signed him to one more 10-day contract, before being forced to either let him go or commit to him for the rest of the season. But that point becomes moot.

The Thunder roster now sits at 13.

NFL STAR POWER

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was in attendance for the Thunder-Hawks game.

He was shown on the big screen during the game, receiving a loud, but mixed reaction of cheers and boos from the Thunder crowd.

ANDRE ROBERSON DOWN TO TULSA AGAIN

Thunder rookie Andre Roberson continued his ping-pong trips between OKC and Tulsa.

Roberson was sent down the 66ers on Monday, for the third time this month and fourth time this season.

He had 20 points and 13 rebounds Monday night to help Tulsa whip Rio Grande Valley 144-127.

KEVIN DURANT WINS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Predictably, Durant was named Western Conference Player of the Week again.

It's the fourth time Durant has won it this season. He averaged 38.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists in three games.

STAT OF THE NIGHT

Durant became the fifth player in the past 30 years to score 30 or more points in 11 straight games. Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady and Shaquille O'Neal are the others.

STREAK OF THE NIGHT

Kyle Korver didn't waste time extending his NBA record streak to 113 straight games with a 3-pointer. Korver drilled a triple on the Hawks' third possession, 88 seconds into the game.

UP NEXT

A big one awaits the Thunder on Wednesday. OKC travels to Miami to face the two-time defending champ. Tip is at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
