•Russell Westbrook: The No. 4 overall pick out of UCLA performed well in the Orlando summer league after averaging 12.7 points, 4.3 assists and 1.6 steals for the Bruins last season.

•Earl Watson: The UCLA product averaged a career-best 6.8 assists in his first opportunity to be a full-time starter, but Westbrook is the point guard of the future.

•Kyle Weaver: The Thunder traded for the All-Pac 10 defensive guard from Washington State who was selected in the second round in this year's draft.

•Kevin Durant: The NBA's Rookie of the Year averaged 20.3 points and 4.4 rebounds and is the organization's foundation, a potential perennial All-Star.

•Desmond Mason: The former OSU star returns to the Ford Center after playing two seasons with the Hornets. An athletically gifted veteran, Mason provides depth and leadership.

•Damien Wilkins: The Georgia product averaged 9.2 points and 3.2 rebounds, but this time will have to battle for major minutes.

•Nick Collison: The former Kansas star nearly averaged a double-double (9.8 points, 9.4 rebounds) and has spent his entire career with the Sonics/Thunder.
