Clippers coach Doc Rivers talked to the media after Game 2.

Q: Tough night for you guys when Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook play like that.

A: “Yeah, I thought they did exactly what Scotty Brooks said they would do, so give them credit. He said that they were going to make us feel them, and I thought they did that. I thought they were by far the more physical team. They started with the first play of the game, with (Thabo) Sefolosha getting behind us and bumped us off our spot and we lose balance. Westbrook, six offensive rebounds. They had a good offensive game, but we can win if they both have good offensive games. What we can’t do is then give them that plus everything else, and that’s what happened tonight. They were the tougher team tonight for sure.”

Was the Thunder victory a carryover from the emotion of the Durant MVP announcement?

“No. I knew they were going to come with it, and they should. That’s what they should do. I have no problem with that. They didn’t do anything dirty or anything. They played hard and physical, but you’ve got to do it back. I didn’t think we did it back. I thought weren’t very physical tonight or mentally tough, either.”
