* Brooks: “You're not going to beat (the Spurs) by playing one-effort basketball. You're going to have to have two, three, four and even five.”

* O'Neal: “You really have to give Scott Brooks some credit. He really showed some guts tonight and some confidence in his guys.”

* San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich: “They played like it was a closeout game. They beat us good.”

* Popovich on what he'll change vs. Sefolosha: “I can ask Scotty not to play (Sefolosha). I don't know what kind of changes will help.”

* Popovich: “I think they played smarter than we did, and I think they played harder than we did.”

* Spurs forward Tim Duncan: “We hope to win every game in a row in the playoffs, but we didn't. So here we go.”

* Duncan: “We didn't step up. We didn't take charges and we didn't defend very well.”

* Duncan: “We're going to see how we react. Obviously, we haven't lost in a while, so we'll see how we react to it.”

* Barkley: “The ‘others' clearly won the game for OKC tonight.”

* Spurs guard Tony Parker: “They definitely played with a lot more energy and a lot more passion than us tonight.”

* Parker: “OKC put (Sefolosha) on me last year, two years ago. It's nothing different for me. I just have to find my spots.”

* Parker: “Manu (Ginobili) will figure (the Thunder's defense) out. He'll be more aggressive next game.”

* Thunder forward Kevin Durant: “We need everybody to be aggressive, and Thabo stepped up for us tonight.”

* Westbrook: “I think we did a great job of making the extra pass. Make or miss we were making the right play.”

* Durant: “We never thought these guys had an advantage over us even though we've lost a few.”

* Durant: “We knew we're not going to lay down and roll over just because we were down 0-2.”
