Serge Ibaka said altercations with Blake Griffin over the last two seasons are simply a coincidence. There's no animosity between the two.
“It's not nobody likes each other,” Ibaka said. “It's just we like to compete hard, play hard. That's it. It's sport, man. Basketball.”
When asked directly Wednesday whether Griffin is a dirty player, Thunder forward Nick Collison said he didn't think so.
“Everybody in the league is trying to play well and trying to get advantages certain ways,” Collison said. “He's no different than anybody else in the league.”
As for the most recent incident between Ibaka and Griffin, Collison said the teams have moved on.
“It's really a non-issue,” he said. “Stuff like that happens all the time in the NBA. We've all seen it a million times. It's really a non-issue. We'll be ready to go (Thursday).”
