SHANE LARKIN

Height: 5-11

Weight: 171 pounds

Birthdate: Oct. 2, 1992

Hometown: Orlando, Fla.

School: Miami

Class: Sophomore

2012-13 stats: 14.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 4.6 apg, 2.0 spg, .479 FG%, .777 FT%

Strengths: Incredible shooter with great range. Runs the pick-and-roll extremely well. Sets up teammates regularly. Makes good decisions. Possesses speed and quickness that allows him to blow by defenders.

Weaknesses: Lack of size poses an obvious limitation and could hurt him on the defensive end. Lack of length leads to struggles finishing in traffic.

How he could help the Thunder: Fills a need as a third point guard. Sharp shooting and pick-and-roll ability could be useful. Potential replacement for Reggie Jackson if the Thunder is unable to re-sign him next summer.

Projections: No. 14 (nbadraft.net, cbspsorts.com, hoopshype.com); No. 15 (espn.com); No. 16 (draftexpress.com, hoopsworld.com,); No. 22 (si.com).

Quotable: “One of the things as a coach that you want to be able to do is trust your players, especially your point guard. And since the very first day I saw Shane Larkin play I thought he was great. And he's only gotten better at making decisions, at developing his skills, at developing his role as a leader.” — Miami coach Jim Larranaga.
