— Fox kicks off a stretch of eight consecutive Saturday prime-time baseball games this weekend. KOKH-25 will air Houston at Texas, which will go to 13 percent of the nation (Kenny Albert and Tom Verducci). Tulsa sportscaster Bob Carpenter, a Nationals TV announcer, will make his Fox debut calling Baltimore at Washington with Billy Ripken.
— TBS will air the AL and NL wild card games in 2012 and 2013. Major League Baseball also announced the MLB Network will air two divisional playoff game each of the two years.
— ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC will combine to present 12 WNBA regular-season games, beginning with the defending WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx hosting the Phoenix Mercury at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Terry Gannon and Pam Ward will serve as play-by-play announcers, working with analysts Rebecca Lobo and Carolyn Peck.
— ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3 will combine as the coverage home to the NCAA Division I softball tournament with up to 62 games. Coverage begins with games from three regional sites — Louisville, Ky.; College Station, Texas; and Tucson, Ariz. — on Friday.
— Fox will air the UEFA Champions League final at 1 p.m. Saturday as German club Bayern Munich hosts England's Chelsea FC.
