OKC Thunder: Thunder targets free agent Mike Miller

Thunder fans might remember Miller for coming off the bench and scoring 23 points in Miami's series-clinching Game 5 victory over OKC in the 2012 NBA Finals despite his aching back. Miller made seven of his eight 3-pointers in the Heat's 15-point victory.

The Thunder also could part ways with both Liggins and Orton to make room for Miller and a third point guard. Derek Fisher is widely believed to be returning for a third straight season, and his return would only add additional perimeter shooting along with Miller.

Miller, who is entering his 14th season after being drafted fifth overall out of Florida in 2000, has been plagued by injuries in recent years, most notably bulging disks in his back. The injury caused Miller to miss games in the 2011-12 season, when he appeared in only 39 games, and forced him to consider offseason back surgery in the summer of 2012.

Miller averaged 4.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 15.3 minutes last season. He made 41.7 percent of his 3-pointers.

For his career, Miller holds averages of 12.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 40.6 percent from 3-point range.
