The Oklahoma City Thunder will once again play a Christmas Day game this coming season, and for the third straight year that game will be played on the road.

It will be a rematch of the 2014 Western Conference Finals, as the Thunder travels to San Antonio to take on the defending NBA champion Spurs in a game scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Central on the biggest holiday of the NBA calendar.

The entire 2014-15 NBA schedule will be unveiled at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The Thunder will open the season at Portland on Oct. 29, a Northwest Division matchup that offered the makings of a rivalry last season when Kevin Durant admitted to reporters that the two teams don’t like each other. The Trail Blazers went 54-28 last season and finished second in the division, five games behind the Thunder.

Oklahoma City's home opener will be Nov. 1 against Denver, another Northwest Divisional opponent. The Thunder went 3-1 against the Nuggets last season.

The Thunder swept last year's four-game series with San Antonio, but the Spurs knocked Oklahoma City out of the conference finals in six games before capturing their fifth NBA title against Miami.

Christmas has been good to the Thunder. Oklahoma City is 3-1 when playing on Christmas Day.

In 2013, the Thunder played New York inside Madison Square Garden on Christmas Day. In 2012, OKC traveled to Miami, where the Thunder suffered its only loss on the holiday. In 2011, the Thunder hosted Orlando. And in 2010, the Thunder played Denver inside Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The schedule is subject to change until the NBA officially releases all the dates Wednesday evening.
