Okies in the NFL: Week 3

From wire reports Published: September 28, 2009
Two good things happened Sunday for the St. Louis Rams: The franchise retired jersey No. 75 worn by former great Deacon Jones. Former Foyil High School standout Josh Brown later provided a 53-yard field goal. In the end, the Rams’ day ended in another disappointment, losing 36-17 to Green Bay. Brown added point-after-touchdown kicks and accounted for five of his team’s points.

Other performances from NFL players with Oklahoma ties:

→Mark Anderson, Chicago Bears (Tulsa Washington): The defensive end had two tackles and a sack in the Bears’ 25-19 victory over Seattle.

→Mark Bradley, Kansas City Chiefs (OU): Bradley did a little bit of everything on offense. Normally a wide receiver, Bradley ran the ball once for 22 yards; he completed one pass for 26 yards; and he caught four balls for 28 yards and a touchdown. Still, the Chiefs were routed 34-14 by Philadelphia.

→Mark Clayton, Baltimore Ravens (OU): The wide receiver caught three passes for 35 yards. He added two rushes for 15 yards in a 34-3 rout of Cleveland.

→Derek Fine, Buffalo Bills (Sallisaw): The second-year tight end might have had his finest statistical day as a pro. He caught five passes for 34 yards, but the Bills still lost 27-7 to New Orleans.

→Tommie Harris, Chicago Bears (OU): The big bear who anchors the defensive line had three tackles in the win over Seattle.

→Clint Ingram, Jacksonville Jaguars (OU): Ingram, a linebacker, had six tackles and a sack in the Jags’ 31-24 victory over Houston.
