OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Spokeswomen at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City and Tulsa International Airport say flights are arriving and departing — but cancellations are expected later due to winter storms.
Karen Carney said seven flights were cancelled late Thursday afternoon at Will Rogers after a first winter storm. She said officials hope most flights scheduled through the night will be able to arrive and depart with only minimal delays.
Carney said a second storm expected Thursday night will probably mean "numerous cancellations" Friday in Oklahoma City. She said some airlines are allowing passengers to change their flights at no charge through Saturday morning.
Tulsa International spokeswoman Alexis Higgins reported "a few" cancellations and said more are likely Friday, but officials hope to be close to a normal schedule by Friday afternoon.
