OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma's House Speaker T.W. Shannon and Secretary of Energy and Environment Michael Teague will discuss the energy industry at the annual meeting of the Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association of Oklahoma.

The association will host Shannon and Teague Friday during a luncheon at the Devon Energy Center.

A Republican from Lawton, Shannon is expected to update attendees on his plans for the 2014 legislative session. Among the issues expected to be considered in 2014 is whether to extend tax breaks for drilling certain type of deep and horizontal wells.

The Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association of Oklahoma, founded nearly 100 years ago, also announced Thursday it is changing its name to the Oklahoma Oil & Gas Association.
