Oklahoma sex offender didn't register in Nebraska; sentenced to two years in prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A sex offender from Oklahoma who didn't register with Nebraska authorities while living in St. Paul has been given two years in federal prison.
A news release from the office of U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg says 39-year-old Jerry Waddle also faces 10 years of supervised release after his prison term.
In 1997, Waddle was convicted in Creek County, Okla., of lewd or indecent proposals/acts to a child, a felony that required lifetime registration as a sex offender.
The news release says authorities learned in February that Waddle had been living in St. Paul for four months but hadn't registered with the Howard County sheriff or the Nebraska State Patrol.
Waddle has since been registered in Nebraska. His information is available on the State Patrol Web site.
