Oklahoma adds $81M to coffers
An amnesty program that allowed Oklahomans to pay overdue taxes without the normal late payment penalties has been a sweeping success, raising more than twice the amount expected, tax officials said Friday.
The two-month program brought in more than $81.9 million to the state’s coffers, said Paula Ross , spokeswoman for the Oklahoma Tax Commission .
