Oklahoma adopts national curriculum standards

In a move to align Oklahoma's academics with those of states across the nation, the state Board of Education adopted the Common Core State Standards.

Nationwide academic standards that were drafted in response to calls for a uniformed rigor throughout the U.S. were adopted Thursday by the state Board of Education.
