Oklahoma A&M regents approve tuition hike

The budget does not include a pay increase for faculty and staff, Hargis said.

“Because we are basically working with a flat budget this year compared to last year, it is simply not fiscally responsible to increase pay while asking our students to pay more,” Hargis said.

The tuition increase will be used to fund 42 new faculty positions, additional student advisers and tutors, improvements to the Math Learning Success Center and upgrades to advising software to improve efficiency in scheduling and communications between students and their advisers.
