Oklahoma animal workers seek horse teeth bill

People who file down horse teeth for a living are asking lawmakers to allow them to resume the practice, which was outlawed by the legislature last year.

It is a felony for non-veterinarians to file down, or float, horse teeth or provide other animal husbandry services.

One person has been arrested and the state Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners has sent cease and desist letters to other practitioners.
