An investigator for Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt will review an accusation that $400 in seized funds went missing after a traffic stop by a district attorney's drug task force.

Caddo County District Attorney Jason Hicks confirmed that Assistant Attorney General Megan Tilly will send an investigator to interview task force supervisor Lewis Garrison.

“If that is true, if somebody did take $400, $500, if they took $5 out of that money, I can guarantee you I will be the first one that files a charge on it,” he said.

“I did an initial inquiry with Lew … to find out what the deal was. Of course, he was dumbfounded and expressed to me he didn't know anything about it.”

Raising the concern with the attorney general's office is M. Mark Myles, an Oklahoma City attorney.

Myles said he is representing a California man, who insists the task force seized $7,900 from him after a traffic stop in January.

Prosecutors reported $7,500 was seized in paperwork asking a judge to forfeit the funds to law enforcement.

No drugs were found in the vehicle and no one was arrested.
