Oklahoma attorney general looking into school testing problems

BY ANDREA EGER, TULSA WORLD Published: August 5, 2014

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt is now investigating statewide testing disruptions that affected public school students for the second year in a row.

Pruitt has sent a letter to every school superintendent, requesting their assistance with his office's inquiry into "the cause and effect as well as potential damages resulting from the disruption" of online spring testing by vendor CTB/McGraw-Hill.

Pruitt wrote that he is trying to ensure accountability to the state, school districts and parents and children for "multiple failures on the part of the vendor resulting in non-performance under the contract."
