— Oklahoma senior guard Aaryn Ellenberg is only 15 points shy of becoming the program's second all-time leading scorer.

With 15 points, Ellenberg will pass Phylesha Whaley, who played from 1997-2000 and scored 2,187 career points, on the list.

The senior is averaging 18.4 points per game, so passing Whaley on Thursday night, when the Sooners host No. 13 West Virginia, is entirely possible.

Former star forward Courtney Paris' 2,729 career point tops the Sooners' scoring list.

Oklahoma is coming off a win at Kansas last weekend, and hopes to build on that momentum against the Mountaineers.

Ellenberg talked about the scoring list and more:

Q: How much does it mean to know you're so close to becoming the program's second all-time leading scorer?

A: Not so much for me personally. I mean, it's a great honor. There have been a lot of great players who have come through this program and can really score the basketball, so to be up at the top of that list means something, but I don't really think about or worry about that stuff personally.
