Oklahoma sophomore guard Je'lon Hornbeak underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a stress fracture in his foot.

Hornbeak, who played in all five games of the team's recently completed trip to Belgium and France, is expected to be out six to eight weeks.

The injury is the second foot injury in the last few weeks for the team. Buddy Hield did not play on the European tour after aggravating a foot injury he suffered last season.

The Sooners start the season with an exhibition game against Washburn on Nov. 2.

This weekend is the third annual Sooner Basketball Family Weekend, which includes an alumni game at noon Saturday. Fans will be admitted to the game at no charge.
