SPANGLER HELD SCORELESS
OU sophomore forward Ryan Spangler was held scoreless Saturday for the first time this season.
Entering Saturday's game, Spangler was averaging 11.1 points for the season.
Spangler grabbed six rebounds and recorded five assists against Baylor.
After the game, Kruger credited Spangler for the team's increased toughness this season.
“This team has grown a lot from Ryan's toughness and competitiveness,” Kruger said. “I think early in the year, we needed to improve in that area, and I think because of what Ryan was doing, other guys fed off of that.”
The Sooners return to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday against Texas Tech inside the Lloyd Noble Center. The Red Raiders had lost three of their last four contests entering Saturday's late game against Oklahoma State.
The Sooners won the season's first meeting 74-65 on Jan. 25 in Lubbock.
